At Direct Comms, we use Prince2 project management.
PRINCE2 (an acronym for PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a process based, public domain method. It propounds best practice guidelines, with defined organisational structure with manageable and controllable stages.
PRINCE was originally based on PROMPT, a project management method created by Simpact Systems Ltd in 1975. The CCTA adopted PROMPT in 1979 as the standard for all Government information system projects. When PRINCE launched in 1989, it superseded PROMPT within Government projects. PRINCE2 was published in 1996, having been contributed to by a consortium of some 150 European organisations.
This method defines how we plan and manage our projects internally and within your organisation. It enables us to define the stages of work, the activities required, the relative importance of tasks and the order of completion. This project planning process helps us achieve our goals and manage projects in an effective manner.
